This isnt clear from the help file. I run out of space downloading a dvd size post ~ 4GB. Agent 4.2 increases the max dat file size to 8 GB when running under Win2K, WinXP, or Vista. You should adjust your folder properties to automatically save attachments and remove them from the message after saving.

Regardless, the scenario you posed previously about loading a video file would not cause it to page out to virtual memory. If you want to talk about waste in HDD access, consider Vista which actively reads in, superfetches files just "in case" you might want to use them, quickly filling much of the memory so

But this brilliant method guarantees to compress *any* file by at least one bit, ladies and gentlemen, therefore a file of a few bits can quickly be shrunk to size zero! Losslessly too, remember! But when you reach a file size of zero, a whole new vista of possibilities opens up before you.

Note that this has nothing to do with data bus size (as in 64-bit CPUs). there is nothing Forte can do to "fix" it since it is not their limitation. I suppose Agent could be rewritten to use 64-bit file pointers. Unless Forte drops Agent support on pre-Vista versions of Windows, this is a limitation that the
